Soon India will be back to its glory (Part-1)!

Yes! Only India could solve the problems of the future! I am sure many would say.. excuse me.. can you repeat?! Some of you would even want to open a fight with me for writing this. Right? :). If you believe in India, it will be a sweet surprise for you. For the rest, it will be a wake-up call to turn some pages in history and be assured that India is the future!

For a better justice and readability, i am going to split this topic to 3 parts.

1. Part-1: India at its past glory - pages from the history - This part will take couple of areas of achievements from India. To set the context of its past glory and capabilities!

2. Part-2: Current problems and solutions comparison - This part will list down few of the current problems and compares the solution given by the developed nations/societies and the solutions from India.

3. Part-3: Future problems and how India will be looked forward! - What are the future problems and how India is well positioned to solve them.

With this pretext, let me start with Part-1!

India at its past glory - pages from the history

Samples from history where the world is awestruck on the achievements of India. Have taken just couple of items. Rest is left to the readers to explore and get inspired!

Marvellous creations - The astonishing architectures

Thanjai Periya Kovil built by the great Raja Raja Chola I

Temples! We cannot ignore saying that they are a mere religious stand out of Hindus! They were not built just to worship ones favorite deity. They are a symbol of the overall achievement of that rule or period. They are a symbol of architectural, economic, cultural growth. The above picture is that of the "Thanjai Periya Kovil" or "Brihadishvara Temple" located in Thanjavur, India. What is special about this temple? It's a 216 ft tall structure built with only granite. The top of the structure has a granite stone that weighs 80 Tons i.e. 80,000 Kilos. This left the world with the below questions!

1. How did the Chola's built a structure that is lakh's and lakh's of Kilos without any structural basement that is known to us?

2. How did they lift a 80,000 Kilos stone to the top of a 216 ft tall structure without any modern equipment?

3. How did they built a structure without any cement kind of plaster that we had known! How do they stand together that withstood 6+ earth quacks?

Hey! Stop! All these questions are well known and say something new! Fine. I will stop with this. But even with the current technological advancement, we could not find a clear cut answer to all these How and Why! Is it not astonishing? Where did the money, man and knowledge power came from?! Yes. INDIA :).

Many astonishing temple structures including Kailasa temple, Konark Sun temple etc that stand tall as an architectural and technological proof points for India.

India contributed to 50% of world's GDP!

Hard to believe?! Find below the study by Angus Maddison, University of Groningen. The data captured here are from 0 AD only. Here both India and China together contributed to 75+% of the world's GDP. But this study misses the more golden era of India, the Mauryan Empire (250 BC) where India contributed to more than half of World's GDP!

@ 1000 AD, Do you see US, Britain contribute to the GDP?! Okay! Why we talk about GDP now? The gross domestic product (GDP) is one of the primary indicators used to gauge the health of a country's economy! Right? So, at one period, we produced more than half of the world? Economically so strong! Proud right?! That is fine. Why our GDP is lingering around in single digit rise % now? Yes, we are bouncing back post the loots throughout! As per the latest projections, India will be ranking 3rd in the GDP list by 2023!

Note: As said, these two are not the only contributions from India. What about Yoga? The life science that is essential for a healthy body and mind! Ayurveda, Astrology, Maths and what not?! Just explore the net and get inspired!
